About Augur Security
Augur Security (www.augursecurity.com) was founded in 2014 to tackle network security challenges from a different angle, using AI-driven behavioral modeling to predict cyberattacks before they launch. Based in San Diego, CA, Augur integrates with customers’ existing stacks to block threats proactively rather than reactively.
What You'll Do
Build and maintain responsive, performant web applications using React, ensuring a seamless user experience across devices and browsers.
Translate Figma designs and wireframes into pixel-perfect, accessible frontend code with clean HTML and CSS.
Architect and deploy frontend infrastructure on AWS services such as S3, CloudFront, and Amplify to ensure fast, reliable delivery.
Integrate with backend APIs powered by SQL and MongoDB, working closely with backend engineers to shape data contracts and optimize query-driven UI components.
Build and maintain authentication flows, including MFA enrollment, session management, and role-based access control (RBAC) to enforce granular permissions across the platform UI.
Work within our CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable, automated testing and frontend code deployment with every release.
Develop and maintain a shared component library and design system to drive consistency across the platform.
Participate in code reviews, technical planning, and continuous improvement of our development practices.
Monitor frontend performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to improve load times and responsiveness.
Instrument frontend code with monitoring and observability tooling to track errors, user sessions, and performance regressions in production.

What We're Looking For
React
3+ years of hands-on experience building production applications with React. Strong understanding of hooks, component architecture, and performance optimization.
TypeScript
Solid proficiency in TypeScript for building type-safe, maintainable frontend codebases. Experience defining interfaces, generics, and working with strict compiler settings in a team environment.
HTML & CSS
Deep proficiency in semantic HTML5 and modern CSS (Flexbox, Grid, animations, responsive design). Ability to write clean, maintainable, and accessible markup.
AWS
Working experience with AWS services relevant to frontend delivery, including S3 hosting, CloudFront CDN configuration, Route 53, and deployment automation.
API Integration
Experience consuming RESTful APIs backed by SQL and MongoDB databases. Comfortable working with data contracts, pagination, filtering, and optimizing frontend queries against mixed data stores.
Auth & RBAC
Hands-on experience building authentication flows (MFA, OAuth, JWT) and implementing role-based access control in the UI layer, including conditional rendering, route guards, and permission-based feature gating.
CI/CD
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows. Ability to write and maintain frontend build, test, and deploy stages within an existing pipeline.
Testing
Experience writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright. Committed to shipping reliable code with solid test coverage.
Performance
Proven ability to optimize frontend performance, including bundle splitting, lazy loading, image optimization, and Core Web Vitals. Experience in profiling and resolving rendering bottlenecks in complex UIs.
Version Control
Proficiency with Git workflows, pull request reviews, and collaborative development in a team environment.
Nice to Have
Figma proficiency and experience working directly in Figma to inspect designs, extract assets, and collaborate with designers on UI/UX decisions.
Familiarity with server-side rendering (Next.js) or static site generation for improved SEO and initial load performance.
Experience with GraphQL as an alternative or complement to REST-based API integration.
Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and inclusive design principles.
Exposure to frontend monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog RUM, Sentry, LogRocket, or CloudWatch for error tracking, session replay, and performance monitoring in production.
Experience with WebSocket or real-time data patterns for live-updating dashboards and feeds.
Contributions to open-source projects or a portfolio of personal work demonstrating frontend craftsmanship.
