About the Role:
The Content Marketing team at Shardeum plays a pivotal role in articulating the vision and capabilities of the Shardeum blockchain to a global audience through blogs, videos, FAQs and newsletters among others. We are responsible for crafting compelling narratives, educational content, and engaging multimedia that underscores the unique advantages of Shardeum's technologyâits high level of scalability, security, and decentralization. Our goal is to create insightful, clear, and impactful content that resonates with audiences (you can also take active support from the public/community as needed). This team empowers thousands of users, potential node operators, and developers with the knowledge they need to join and grow the Shardeum network.
We are seeking an intern who is committed to hard work, and an unyielding readiness to tackle urgent deliverables on tight deadlines. The candidate should have excellent writing and research skills along with a foundation in content marketing principles. Additionally, the candidate should have a solid understanding of the fintech/Web3 industry. At Shardeum, you'll be immersed in a fast-paced environment where proactivity and a thirst for learning are essential. What You'll Be Doing: (some may be based on real examples)
- Draft, write, and publish both short-form and long-form content, including blogs, social media posts, and videos
- Collaborating with a fully distributed team around the world
- Contributing to content strategies for every quarter and execute it along with the content lead in the project
- Helping the marketing team at Shardeum with relevant copy for website pages, landing pages and other front end interfaces of various campaigns before and after mainnet launch
- Review written, audio or video content drafts; Suggest or make responsible edits where required in sync with the content lead
- Collaborate closely with Shardeum's external service providers, like design agencies, to coordinate and execute tasks effectively. Managing the creation of blog article thumbnails that meets the high standards of Shardeumâs branding strategy is one example.
- Helping with Blockchain eBooks, drip email campaigns, newsletter, blogs about blockchain/Web3 industry and Shardeum technology/features at a fundamental level
- Collaborate with partner projects, end users and tech team members to produce customer testimonials, tutorials, technical blogs, technical videos, case studies etc.
- Repurpose existing resources to produce multimedia contents
- Assist the content team in crafting thought leadership articles that meet the standards for publication on both traditional and social media platforms
- In this role, you will take ownership of your deliverables. We encourage you to actively seek out and introduce the latest trends and innovations in content creation both from Web2 and Web3 standpoint
What We're Looking For:
- Experience in WordPress (would be great if you have used Gutenberg block editors, elementor, and other templates/plugins)
- Good writing skills
- Someone that understands how content marketing works
- Fundamental knowledge about financial markets, including: capital market, fintech industry, blockchain/DLT/crypto industry
- Able to keep up with the latest trends/topics in Web3, and ideate to produce high quality multi-media contents
- Self motivated to set priorities and methodically make progress towards the goals
- The ability to communicate effectively and convey your ideas when discussing with team members
- Candidates who are in their final year of a non-technical undergraduate program, or those who have already completed a non-technical graduate degree are preferred
We'd Love If You Have:
- Prior experience in content marketing
- Use self-custodial wallets like MetaMask
- Familiarity with Shardeum and some of the existing content initiatives
- Understands SEO
- Prior experience with tools like Figma, Canva, Google keyword planner, Google Analytics, and any other content optimization tools
- (Example) Understands what a smart contract is at a high level, although expertise in writing or deploying smart contract code is not required
- Prior internship experience in blockchain projects or related fields
- Made content contributions to blockchain projects
- Willing to multi-task across multiple verticals and gain exposure in them as well
- Done something extraordinary

Step 1: Written Essay (submit below)
Compose an essay on potentially innovative and futuristic applications of blockchain technology. Focus on new concepts that could reshape industries or solve (current) significant challenges in the coming years (limited to 700 words)

Step 2: Shortlisted candidates will proceed to Oral Interview
Our oral interviews typically take place via video calls for the shortlisted candidates after step 1 and consists of the following stages:
- Meet with the Hiring Manager that includes fundamental/oral tests in fintech/blockchain/web3 space (30 mins)
- Culture & Values Interview (15 mins)
Ideal Location For This Role
This is a fully remote role, however we prefer candidates who can work during or overlap with the IST (Indian Standard Time) hours.
Internship Duration: This is a 6 month internship, starting approximately in August of 2024. The duration may be adjusted based on performance or organizational needs.
